Oxidized Asphalt
WATERPROOFING TO BE APPLIED IN HEAT PRIMER FOR ASPHALT MEMBRANES
Characteristics
It is a product obtained from the oxidation of an asphalt base obtaining an improvement in its toughness, thermal susceptibility and resistance to the environment. It is applied in heat. It is presented in 2 different kinds: 100/15 (hard) and 90/60 (plastic) depending on the needs of elasticity or resistance requested.
Recommended Uses
Waterproofing of heat application with glass veil or polyester. Adhesive substrate for asphalt membranes. Metal and concrete protective coating, having excellent resistance to atmospherics agents. Drainpipes coating. Impregnation of floor's felts, of paper, of membranes. Impregnation of ropes. Coating of impregnated material. Coating of papers and boards. Tiles and mastic bond, cork panels. Adhesive of roofing's felt, of board lamination. Protection of electric wires.
Asphalt 100/15 (hard) - Enlargement joints fixing. Joints or cracks reparation.
Fixing of wooden floors. Adhesive for heat isolation. Different industrial uses.
ASPHALT 90/60 (plastic) Reparation of non-exposed cracks. Under sealed of boxes of wires' union. Bond of damp charcoal briquettes.

- In Siliconed Kraft bags of 40 kg. A154 (hard) / A504 (plastic)
Method Application
The surface must be clean and dry, free of dust, grease, oil, curing compound any foreign material which will inhibit proper application. It is applied in heat. Once in liquid state pour the asphalt over the surface or enlargement joint.
Precautions
For its application and use the precautions and warnings detailed in the packing of the product have to be thoroughly followed.
Internal storage, protected from rain, from UV rays and with temperatures from 5 C to 35C .
It has to be maintained far from extreme heat, from strong acids and hard oxidant agents. Use protection elements for its handle in heat. Dispose as an special dangerous residue. Don't apply under unstable weather or rain threat.
Efficiency
As primer 0,5 to 1kg/m. For partial or total waterproofing the minimum use advisable is of 3 kg/m.
